5/7/16
Leagues forming now!
-
This is a trophy and payout league. We will have a weekly payout for the winning team and a trophy for the largest fish and the winning team at the end of the season. We do not have to physically see your fish for proof.
-
Two people per team/boat. You and your fishing partner must come up with a team name that you will have for the season. Entry fee is $100.00 per person or $200.00 per team. Your entry fees and team name must be received to us by the “Meet & Greet” date to be determined. All entry fees are nonrefundable.
-
This is a multi-species league. You are trying to catch Bass, Pike, Walleye, Sunfish, Crappie. What fish qualifies will depend on what species we are targeting during that league night.
-
Honesty, sportsmanship and sharing is mandatory for all participants of the league.
-
All weekly league info will be posted on the Cedar Ridge Facebook page and each team will be responsible to post thier team measurements by Friday night at 6:00 pm. Nothing after 6:00 pm will be excepted.
-
Thursday night is the scheduled league night and we hope that everyone will try to make an effort to fish Thursday, but in the event that you are unable to join us, fishing is allowed any time during the week as long as you post by 6:00 pm Friday night.
-
You can use live bait or artificial bait but only one line allowed per person. Trolling is also allowed.
-
The start times and finish times are posted in the league schedule. It is highly recommended that if you can come early, please do so. When you show up to the public access, try to refrain from socializing with other participants until you are on the water. This will help with the backups that can occur at the public access. If you do show up early, you must remain by the specified public access in your boat and do not start fishing or exploring the lake. When you launch your boat, move straight out from the access about 50 yards and wait for the other participants. The league will start promply at scheduled start time. There is no penalty or forfeit if you are late. It is just less time you get to fish.
-
The League night ends at the time specified on the schedule. Stop fishing no matter where you are on the lake. Correctly fill out your data , where you are and then head to the access.
-
The winning team is the one at the end of the season with the most combined inches from all scheduled league night events. This is based off of the totals from the infor posted on CRFC Facebook page from all league nights totaled together for a grand total. The “Biggest Fish” award will go to the person who catches the longest fish of the season. The big fish and team results will be updated on the website throughout the season.
-
When you catch a fish that fits into the format guidelines for that particular league night, measure it on a quality measuring device. Due to the inconsistency in measuring, tape measures are not recommended but may be used if both team members help each other for a fair and honest measurement. Bump boards are highly recommended for measuring a fish correctly and quickly. Measure the fish to the nearest ¼”. Use your best judgment. Fill in the proper areas on your team data sheet to log in your catch. Be sure to pinch the end of the fish’s tail for a proper measurement. Take a picture of your first fish caught and any fish that your team catches that is bigger in size from previous fish caught. That way you will always have a picture of the biggest fish caught by your team during that league night. You can take the picture anyway you prefer. Please upload your big fish pictures to the Facebook page!

This is a catch and release league. However, if you decide to keep any fish it is your responsibility to follow The MN state guidelines regarding fish limits and slots.

This league was formed for people of all different skill levels and experience. We stress to all participants to maintain a true sportsman attitude and share any information about lures and lake spots that may help out other participants of our league. We don’t expect anyone to divulge all of your secrets but if you can help out another team in some way, please do so. Sharing lures or giving someone just a little advice to make their night more fun and active is what this league is about. This is a league where the winning team gets a trophy at the end of the year. If you can help an angler “catch” a trophy during the year, that alone will be more rewarding to you and the angler you helped.
-
In the case of a tie at the end of the season regarding team totals, the team who has the most event wins throughout the season over the other tying team and/or the team who caught the most fish throughout the season, will be the winner. In the case of a tie regarding biggest fish, the person who has the next largest fish among the tying anglers, will be declared the winner.
-
In the event of severe weather before a league event, the event will be cancelled and made up on our scheduled rain date. The rain date is noted on the schedule. The particular league night that was cancelled will be made up on the lake that was originally scheduled and using that team data sheet. Decisions regarding a delay or a cancellation will be determined by the majority rule from league participants and made official by Todd. Please contact us regarding weather related delays or cancellation inquiries

Following the MN laws and regulations while on the water is your responsibility to know and follow at all times during any Fins for Grins event
